"Have you seen Liu Qiang?" Zhu Lili walked out of another room. She went to look for Liu Qiang but couldn't find him. Although she hated him, he was still a dog licking her after all. Even if he took advantage of her in the future, it was better than death.
"He's not in the room? We've been here the whole time and didn't see him come out. Did he leave on his own? That's impossible. Doesn't he like to follow you around the most?"
Guo Liang looked at Xue Yongjia in confusion. Xue Yongjia shook his head. He woke up early and did not see Liu Qiang come out.
Zhu Lili rolled her eyes and said, "What do you mean he likes to follow behind me? He even likes to stand in front of her."
"He's not in the room."
Since he's not in the room, there won't be any danger, right?
The three of them stared at each other with gradually serious expressions. They were not doomsday rookies, and Liu Qiang could not run around by himself.
"Could it be..." Zhu Lili thought of a possibility, her face turned pale, and her lips trembled as she said, "Could it be that he was taken away by Dandelion?"
"Impossible!" Guo Liang immediately denied. "There are so many rooms here, why would the monster choose to capture Liu Qiang? And we didn't hear any movement."
"Then where did he go?" Xue Yongjia frowned, feeling a little uneasy, and yawned again after he finished speaking.
"Maybe he went somewhere else to find food or water?" Zhu Lili guessed.
"But why didn't he tell us?" Guo Liang still felt something was wrong.
"Maybe he doesn't want to disturb our sleep?" Zhu Lili explained weakly.
"He is so kind!" Xue Yongjia was speechless.
No matter what, something must have happened!
Xue Yongjia and Guo Liang looked at each other and stood up. One of them searched around the room while the other walked to the window, gently lifted a corner of the curtain and looked out.
After a careful inspection, nothing unusual was found.
So Xue Yongjia went into the inner room to check on the fat man.
I saw the fat man still sleeping quietly on the bed. He had been tossing and turning all night because of the pain from his wound and had just fallen asleep.
Xue Yongjia walked out of the room and prepared to go outside to see what was going on, but when he tried to open the door, he was surprised to find that it was not locked.
He had clearly locked the door himself yesterday, but now it was not locked, and the door was not closed tightly, leaving a narrow gap.
"Liu Qiang has indeed gone out and the door is open. What should we do?" Xue Yongjia said softly, looking back at the two of them.
"Well, why don't we go out and check if there's any danger around here."
Guo Liang is a kind person. Because someone saved his mother, he has always been grateful and hopes to help others.
Liu Qiang’s disappearance this time made him feel that he had a responsibility to find him and perhaps he could be of help.
"Why don't we...why don't we wait for him here? What if he comes back later?" Zhu Lili said hesitantly.
She really didn't want to go out to look for someone. What if Zhang Qiang was really parasitized by dandelions? It was too dangerous! Yesterday, she was chased by the seeds and her legs were still sore, and she was not familiar with Liu Qiang.
"Then you stay here with Fatty, and we'll go out and look for Liu Qiang." Xue Yongjia suggested.
"Then...then I'd better go with you. Fatty is sleeping and doesn't need company."
Zhu Lili said quickly.
She didn't want these two people to leave. If Liu Qiang didn't come back, they would run away again, leaving her and a disabled fat man alone. How would she survive then?
Xue Yongjia, Guo Liang and Zhu Lili packed up their things and came to the door.
They looked at each other, Guo Liang took a deep breath, held the knife in one hand, held the door handle with the other, and gently opened the door.
After the door opened, the three men walked out of the room cautiously, weapons in hand, and looked around vigilantly.
The corridor was quiet, with only a faint light shining through the window, making it look a little eerie.
"Be careful, don't make any noise." Guo Liang said in a low voice.
They walked slowly along the corridor, taking every step with extreme caution, the smell of dust in their nostrils.
"Where can I find it in the dark?" Xue Yongjia looked at the darkness around him, feeling a little scared.
"Turn on the flashlight and check if there are any footprints on the ground. No one has been in the house for a while, so there must be dust on the ground," Zhu Lili suggested.
"There, there are indeed footprints!" Guo Liang said excitedly, pointing ahead.
He turned on the flashlight and shone it on the ground, and sure enough, he saw some footprints. The footprints extended from the room they were in to the stairwell and then up the stairs.
The three of them slowed down and carefully followed the footprints up the stairs. Guo Liang walked in front and Zhu Lili followed behind.
After just going up one floor, Xue Yongjia and Guo Liang began to pant, and they kept wiping their sweat. They both felt weak when they woke up this morning, and they both thought it was a sequelae of the excessive amount of exercise from the intense running yesterday.
Zhu Lili was watching the two nervously from behind, muttering to herself, "These two are breathing so hard, are they going to mutate? Otherwise, why are they so weak? They are so tired after just climbing one flight of stairs?"
Gradually, Zhu Lili carefully moved back a little.
Soon, they followed the footprints to the middle of the corridor.
There are six households on each floor of this residential building. At this moment, they were standing in front of the door of Room 404. The door was ajar and the room was pitch black.
Guo Liang was the first to walk in with a flashlight.
The room was decorated in a grand and high-end style, but it was covered in dust. The floor was covered with footprints, all from the same person, just like the footprints at their door. It seemed that Liu Qiang had come here.
There were signs that the room had been searched; the refrigerator and cabinet doors were open, but there was no sign of Liu Qiang.
Following the footprints, I found a large bag in front of a bedroom door. It contained various snacks, which should have been newly collected. The bag was very new and had no dust. Some of the snacks were expired, while others were not, and the additives had extended the expiration date.
The bag was given to Zhu Lili, it was filled with snacks and was not heavy.
Xue Yongjia pushed open the bedroom door and saw a figure lying on the big bed. When he shone the flashlight over there, who else could it be but Liu Qiang?
The three people were a little speechless. Could it be that this guy came here to collect supplies and then fell asleep because he was tired?
Several people checked all the rooms and found no zombies, flowers, plants or trees, so they returned to the bedroom with peace of mind.
Guo Liang walked to the window and patted Liu Qiang's butt. "Hey! Liu Qiang! Get up! Go back to sleep? Hey! Get up! Liu Qiang?"
After shouting several times but there was no response, the three people felt something was wrong. They shone the flashlight around the bed, but there was no blood or anything unusual.
Xue Yongjia and Guo Liang looked at each other, then walked over and carefully turned Liu Qiang's body over.
Snap...puff...the sound of something being crushed.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" Zhu Lili couldn't help but scream out as she looked at the person on the bed.
